What
Pornography addiction is a widespread and growing issue in society, negatively affecting individuals from all walks of life (see here​, here, and here). My Addiction Recovery Services aim to provide support and guidance through addiction recovery coaching services to men who are suffering from pornography addiction, and family members who are seeking to help and support their loved one trapped in the jaws of pornography.

I work closely with clients, helping them trade porn addiction for an abundant life by helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives in recovery.

Services
My addiction recovery coaching services include in person or online one-on-one coaching. I help clients develop the skills and strategies necessary for long-term recovery. I work with clients to develop personalized recovery plans that include goal setting, relapse prevention strategies, and ongoing support.

About
Although I am deeply committed to my faith, and have been rescued from the hell of addiction from Jesus Christ, I am agnostic in my approach to recovery. I follow the Alcohol Anonymous' approach to God (see here and here). Whomever or whatever your Higher Power is, will be respected, and all recovery work will stay within that frame of reference.

Payment Philosophy

*One things addicts struggle with is keeping commitments. Paying one week up front helps keep the addicts honest.

Some things only a professional counselor can help you with. But they tend to be expensive, charging anywhere from $90-$250 hr. (see here). And yet, some things a coach is better suited for. Coaching prices vary but they tend to be much cheaper than counseling.

My Story & Philosophy
I was sexually molested when I was a toddler. As I grew into a young boy my father continued to molest me from time to time. He was also very physically abusive and had a terrifying anger that frightened all the kids in my neighborhood. When he wasn't yelling, he was bullying. However, just like anyone, he had his good moments too. Needless to say, the bad moments stuck with me and all I wanted to do was to run away and hide. I sought escape. Unfortunately I found it first in pornography.

When I was ten years old. my friend introduced me to his father's pornography collection. It was kept in his parent's bathroom underneath the sink. It was the forbidden fruit, and offered ultimate escape. Unfortunately, this would transform me and leave a mark as devastating and complicated as the abuse I was running from.
​
For the next 34 years I struggled severely as my pornography addiction waged war on my soul and psyche. However, through the grace of God I was eventually able to come to understand that I was in the throes of addiction, that I wasn't a worthless soul, and that there was hope in recovery. And by the grace of God, little by little, year by year, day in and day out, I came to understand how to surrender my addiction to God and replace my addiction with a life worth living and celebrating.
Recovery is a set of principles that are practiced over time. By following these principles one can trade addictive behaviors for helpful behaviors, and achieve lasting hope, peace, and recovery. Recovery is a life altering process. But it is not for the weak. It is for the determined and humble.
